One of the people we support, Johnny, loves to walk and walks every day. Throughout October, Johnny is going to walk 100 miles in total to raise money for the charity, that’s over 3 miles a day, come rain or shine.
He’ll be raising money so we can buy a new games console for our Day Centre. A new games console will allow the people we support to have access to technology.
A lot of the people we support have games consoles at home so they can share their skills with others. They will have access to physical games such as bowling or tennis, and mental games such as quizzes.
This is a way for us to step even further into the 21st century and for the people we support to gain more skills.
