Volunteering

Volunteering

We provide valuable support every year to disabled children, young people, adults and their carers but we always welcome the time and effort that our volunteers bring.

From cheering on a marathon runner to helping our fundraising team at a local event, any time and support you can provide will be truly appreciated. It doesn’t matter if it’s only a few hours – each and every hour is equally valued.

Volunteering with us is a great way to learn new skills, make friends and be part of a fantastic team that really make a difference to people’s lives.

Why Volunteer?

Our volunteers are an essential part of our Charity.  And we understand with today’s pace of life, it’s sometimes difficult to find the time to volunteer.

However, volunteering can be a rewarding activity and bring real benefits to those who are able to donate even a little of their time.

Volunteering can mean finding and developing new friendships, getting involved in the local community or learning new skills that could even enhance your career.

Becoming a volunteer

We’re always looking for new volunteers at our services.

Our volunteering team will work with our employees and existing volunteers across our services to help match you to a service or role that you’re most interested in.

It’s important to us that you know exactly what you’re doing and feel confident when you volunteer with us, which is why we provide all our volunteers with a full package of training and support.

You will be given guidance and support from a member of staff and we are always here to answer any questions you may have.
