We are delighted to announce that Johnny has completed 136 miles on his epic walk for Supportability!
One of the people we support, Johnny, loves to walk and walks every day. Throughout October and November 2024, Johnny walked as many miles as he could to raise money for the charity, come rain or shine.
Johnny raised £315 in total, so we can buy a new games console for our Day Centre. A new games console will allow the people we support to have access to technology, and Johnny and his friends will be able to play ‘Just Dance’ and many more games together.
This is a way for us to step even further into the 21st century and for the people we support to gain more skills.
Gaming has significant benefits for people with disabilities. These include improved wellbeing by creating social connections, enhanced motor skills, improved creativity, better cognitive abilities and problem solving.
