All of our youth activity groups are designed to give children and young people with learning disabilities the opportunity to socialise, make new friends, have fun, keep active and stimulated, all in a safe environment with our skilled and trained staff. We offer a wide and varied range of activities, so whatever your interests, we’re sure we’ll have something for you to enjoy.
We currently offer the following groups:
Monday Youth Club
Our Youth Club is for young people aged 13 – 17 with a learning disability who want to have fun and socialise, supported by our trained staff. We offer a range of activities such as:
- Baking
- Board Games
- Craft
- Computer Games
- Music
- Socialising
The group runs Monday evenings 6.30pm – 9pm.
We meet at Supportability Granville House, 20 Parsonage Road, Stockport, SK4 4JZ.
Saturday Youth Group
Our Saturday Youth Groups are for young people aged from 10 – 17 and offer a varied timetable of fun activities, such as:
- Accessible cycling at Wythenshawe and Woodbank Park
- Golf at the Trafford Centre
- Indoor bowling
- Outdoor archery
- Trampolining
- Trips to parks and museums and galleries
- Visits to attractions from fire stations to farms
- Visits to the viewing park at Manchester Airport
- Walks in country parks.
Our group runs on alternate Saturdays.
Our pick up and drop off points are as follows:
Supportability Granville House, 20 Parsonage Road, Stockport, SK4 4JZ – 10am and 3:30pm.
St Thomas’s Place, Stockport, SK1 3TZ – 10:30 and 3pm.
Indoor Saturday Children’s Group
Our Saturday Indoor Groups are for children aged from 4 – 17 and offer a varied timetable of fun activities, such as:
- Archery and garden games
- Arts and Crafts
- Baking
- Games
- Karaoke
- Music
- Pizza making
- Sensory room
Our groups run on on Saturdays and have the following times:
- morning session from 10am until 1:30pm
- afternoon session from 2pm until 5:30pm.
